Stock Exchange

A stock exchange, also known as a stock market, is a place (either physical or computerized) where stocks (equity investment securities) are bought and sold. The stock exchange is the epitome of capitalism: a place where dollars are made, fortunes are bet, legends are born. Without stock exchanges, stocks would have to be traded over the counter, which in practice ends up with scattered prices, inefficiencies, and overall poor satisifaction. An exchange is paramount, an exchange is vital, an exchange is the stock market itself. Without the set place where specific securities are bought and soul, the whole concept of stock market investing is irrelevant; for stocks to truly be stocks, there must be a specific place of exchange. And if so, there's a place to exchange nearly everything: foods, ressources, online games like Seafight and ohter businesses.

The most famous of all stock markets is the New York Stock Exchange. For over 200 years the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) has been the premier equity securities marketplace. Situated on Wall Street, the Broadway of capitalism, the "Big board" (as it is sometimes refered to as) is the epicenter of free market capitalism. It is a temple of trade and conquest, where the greatest financial minds meet to play the world's largest and most daring game. There are other stock exchanges, all over the world, but the most famous, the most legendary, the top dog of stock markets, is the New York Stock Exchange. Built upon hundreds of years of capitalist tradition, the New York Stock Exchange is the ultimate capitalist experience. With its trading activities seen gloriously on financial news networks like CNBC and Bloomberg each and every trading day, the New York Stock Exchange is like a sporting event, where brains and braun.
